How Mosie Was Born

After struggling to conceive for 2.5 years, Maureen and Marc began looking for an easy and comfortable at-home way to inseminate. When they couldn't find it, they decided to make it. And now they're parents to the first Mosie Baby and have helped thousands of other Mosie Families conceive their little ones!

P.S. With Mosie Baby, you're never alone. Since day one way, back in 2015, Marc and Maureen have been on a mission to empower their community with knowledge. Mosie Baby is here for you if you have any TTC related questions or just need someone to vent to (because they get it, TTC is HARD)!

What Do I Need to Know Before Purchasing?

If you're calculating shipping to time with ovulation, please also allow up to 2 days for your order to be processed and shipped. Orders placed after 10am CST on Fridays ship on the following business day. Please be aware prices are in US dollars and Mosie Baby ships from the USA. If you are shipping internationally, your country of origin may charge a customs or import tax.

Mosie Baby Kits (both the insemination syringes and cups) are single-use only.

Indications for use: The Mosie Baby Kit is indicated for over-the-counter home use, by individuals who have been unable to conceive through intercourse or choose not to conceive through intercourse, for semen collection and the delivery of semen or donor sperm to the vaginal canal. The Mosie Baby Kit should be used during the ovulatory phase of the menstrual cycle.

Do not use The Mosie Baby Kit if you or your sperm source have been diagnosed with no sperm in semen (azoospermia), blocked Fallopian tubes or have no Fallopian tubes, a sexually transmissible disease, virus, or infection (including active herpes, hepatitis, HIV), or if you do not ovulate. Do not use if it is unsafe for you to become pregnant. Do not use the Mosie Baby Kit if you are unsure if you have any of these conditions or if you do not know if it is unsafe for you to become pregnant.

Consult your doctor if timed intercourse is not working, or if using the Mosie Baby Kit does not successfully result in a pregnancy within six months of trying. This product is not intended to treat infertility.

Is The Mosie Baby Kit FDA-Cleared?

Yes! The groundbreaking Mosie Baby Kit for at-home insemination is the first and only intravaginal insemination kit cleared for over-the-counter use by the FDA. Mosie is a prescription-free device for use with fresh or donor sperm when trying to conceive.

FDA 510(k) Clearance provides you with additional confidence that the Mosie Baby Kit has been extensively tested and determined by the FDA to be substantially equivalent to a device used for intrauterine insemination (IUI). FDA Clearance is now the requirement for all devices for at-home insemination - and Mosie Baby is the first and only device with FDA clearance for intravaginal insemination.

How Do I Use My FSA/HSA to Purchase Mosie?

You can use your FSA/HSA card in the credit card section at checkout! Alternatively, Mosie is also eligible for reimbursement through most FSA & HSA accounts. To apply for reimbursement, all you have to do is order the item you want and submit your receipt to your provider for reimbursement.

Do I Need to Wash Before Use?

Nope! Mosie Syringes for at-home insemination and Mosie cups for semen collection are ready to use right out of the box. Mosie Baby takes extra steps during manufacturing, including utilizing a clean room and running a number of checks and tests prior to product release, so you don't have to boil or sterilize your kit components prior to use.

Who Can Mosie Help With Insemination?

Since 2015, Mosie has helped over 100,000 people from all walks of life inseminate, including hetero couples, lgbtq+ couples, single parents by choice, people who are looking for an alternative to intercourse, and folks using a surrogate.

Do not use if it is unsafe for you to become pregnant or unsafe for you to have sex.

Can I Use Mosie With Fresh and Frozen Donor Sperm?

Yes! You can use Mosie with both fresh and cryogenically frozen donor sperm. Mosie Baby has some helpful articles in our conception 101 blog in our main menu. Please be sure to follow the thawing instructions from your sperm bank if using frozen donor sperm.

How Many Tries Does It Take, and Can I Reuse the Syringes?

Mosie, just like all means of conception, including IVF and the old-fashioned way, is no guarantee of pregnancy. There are many factors when it comes to trying to conceive, many of which Mosie Baby does not have control over, but with Mosie, you can at least help things get to the right place. Mosie Baby recommends trying Mosie for a minimum of 3 months & maximum of 6 months.

It’s important to note that, according to a study published in the journal Human Reproduction, chances of conceiving increase with attempts!

Mosie syringes and cups are single-use only. Mosie, like any syringe, is comprised of moving parts that may become compromised after even a single use. The rubber stopper specifically (on any syringe) loosens after each use and will eventually become unreliable. The stopper on Mosie (and most syringes) is also very lightly coated with a medically safe lubricant to ensure smooth movement, which will likely deteriorate after washing.

You will find that Mosie is not alone here. Most manufacturers discourage using a syringe multiple times. This is exactly why Mosie Baby includes two Mosie syringes for home insemination and two Mosie semen collection cups in every kit. More tries translates into better odds for conception!

Consult your doctor if timed intercourse or inseminating with the Mosie Baby Kit does not successfully result in a pregnancy within six cycles of trying. How Mosie Was Born
